Essential oils like Clove, Citronella and Patchouli are often used as ingredients in bug sprays because their scent is potent for the olfactory senses of many insects. Traditionally, a few drops of Clove oil were placed on bedsheets at night to keep bugs away and studies have shown Clove to be the most repellant for many types of mosquitoes.
This healing ritual oil is warming, penetrating and heating. The combined heat of Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) and Ginger (Zingiber officinale), is soothing and helps to release congestion in the body. When used externally, the oil will encourage circulation and ease cramping.
